Yeshivot and rabbinical schools were established; the Sanhedrin sat in the lakeside city of Tiberias, while the Jerusalem Talmud was being written.

Katzrin Village is the only reconstructed ancient dwelling place in Israel that truly reflects the writings of the Talmud in its architecture and building style. Explore a fully rebuilt ancient Israeli home, and an ancient synagogue, which became the symbol of community, as much as a symbol of prayer.
